Actor Rashmika Mandanna has opened up about her recent marriage to long-time partner Vijay Deverakonda, describing it as the “happiest thing” she has ever done.
In a recent interview, Rashmika, who is currently enjoying the success of her wedding and honeymoon, spoke warmly about her relationship with Deverakonda, calling him her “best friend.”
‘It has been amazing’
When asked about her new phase of life, Rashmika expressed that it had been nothing short of wonderful. She described the experience as “truly special,” stating that the feeling of being married to her best friend is a “very special feeling” that she cannot put into words .
She added that she was “lucky” and “happy” and that the relationship was “really amazing” .
Manifesting a life together
In previous interviews, Rashmika had spoken about her admiration for Deverakonda even before they became a couple. In a candid chat with Galatta India, she admitted that she thought he was a “good soul” long before they started dating and even “manifested” him into her life .
“The person I am today is because I waited for the right guy,” she said. “He’s been with me through my dark days and showed me support. It’s amazing what he has done for me. He is a very simple and genuine guy” .
From co-stars to life partners
Rashmika and Vijay Deverakonda first met on the set of the 2018 blockbuster Geetha Govindam. They later co-starred in Dear Comrade (2019). While their off-screen relationship remained under wraps for years, they were often spotted together, leading to persistent dating rumours .
The couple got engaged in October 2025 in Hyderabad, followed by a wedding on February 26, 2026 in Udaipur. The celebration, attended by close family and friends, included both Christian and Hindu ceremonies .

On the professional front, Rashmika is set to reunite with Vijay for the period action drama Ranabaali, directed by Rahul Sankrityan . Set between 1854 and 1878, the film marks their third collaboration and is scheduled to hit theatres on September 11, 2026 .
