In a landmark development for India’s regional music ecosystem, Warner Music India has entered into a strategic partnership with SVF Entertainment, one of Eastern India’s most influential entertainment companies. The alliance is set to accelerate the growth of Bengali music and create a global pathway for artists, soundtracks, and stories from the region .

The partnership pairs Warner Music’s international network and artist development capabilities with SVF Entertainment’s extensive footprint in Bengali cinema, television, music, and digital content. The move marks Warner Music’s entry into the Bengali music market, strengthening its regional music strategy in India .
Jay Mehta, Managing Director of Recorded Music and Publishing for India and SAARC at Warner Music Group, highlighted the cultural significance of the collaboration. “Some of India’s most enduring cultural movements have emerged from Bengal, and its music continues to inspire generations across borders,” he said . “Through this partnership, we’re strengthening our presence in Eastern India, and creating a pathway for Bengali artists, soundtracks, and stories to reach listeners worldwide. This is a landmark moment for Bengali music and a major step in our mission to take India’s regional music to the global stage” .
SVF Entertainment’s Rich Legacy
SVF Entertainment has been a cornerstone of Bengali popular culture for over three decades. Since its founding in Kolkata in 1995, the company has produced more than 180 Bengali films and distributed over 1,400 films across multiple languages . Its music division, SVF Music, has worked with some of the biggest names in Indian music, including Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Anupam Roy, and Jeet Gannguli . Beyond film soundtracks, SVF Music is also active in original independent music, live concerts, and cross-border musical collaborations . The company also operates Hoichoi, a Bengali streaming service .
A Growing Appetite for Regional Music

Its expansion into West Bengal through this partnership cements its pan-India footprint . The company also recently launched Warner Chappell Music India, bringing its publishing division directly to the market .
