Shane Nigam’s investigative crime thriller ‘Dridam’ is set to make its digital debut on JioHotstar from June 12, 2026, over a month after its theatrical release on May 8 .

The streaming platform announced the release on social media, stating: “A hunt for justice. A fight for the truth. #Dridam streaming from June 12 on JioHotstar” .

About the film

‘Dridam’ marks the directorial debut of Martin Joseph, a longtime associate of acclaimed filmmaker Jeethu Joseph (‘Drishyam’ franchise), who also presents the film under his Bedtime Stories banner . The movie is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under E4 Experiments .

The film features Shane Nigam as Vijay Radhakrishnan, a newly appointed Sub-Inspector who takes charge at a rural police station expecting a quiet posting . However, his routine assignment soon turns challenging when a series of crimes — including multiple murders and a bank robbery — shake the locality, forcing him to navigate both criminal elements and internal department pressure .

Written by Jomon John and Linto Devasia, the investigative thriller has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes .

Cast and technical crew

The supporting cast includes Shobi Thilakan, Krishna Praba Nair, Nandan Unni, Dinesh Prabhakar, Kottayam Ramesh, and Bitto Davis . The technical team comprises cinematographer PM Unnikrishnan, editor Vinayakh, and composer Sreerag Saji .

What to expect

The film follows a young police officer whose investigation into a murder case soon reveals a larger pattern of crime, testing his courage and commitment to uncovering the truth . With Jeethu Joseph’s involvement as presenter, the film promises a tightly woven suspense narrative characteristic of the Malayalam thriller genre.
