Actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan has made a bold prediction about Ram Charan’s upcoming film ‘Peddi’, stating that the actor’s performance will not only win the National Award but also bring numerous other recognitions.

Speaking at a grand ‘Peddi Ki Awaaz’ event in Bhopal, which featured a special musical concert by AR Rahman, Kishan delivered an emotional speech that drew comparisons between ‘Peddi’ and some of Hindi cinema’s most beloved inspirational films .

‘Not just a movie, an emotion’

Ravi Kishan described ‘Peddi’ as more than just a commercial film. “This is not only a movie, this is a powerful emotional story that will touch every viewer’s heart,” he said. “It is a film in the same category as ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Dangal’. It is an inspiring movie that everyone must watch.”

He explained that the film addresses the struggles of today’s youth, particularly those who are dismissed as “losers” by society. “If someone calls them a loser, ‘Peddi’ gives the right answer to those who made that comment,” Kishan declared, earning roaring applause from the audience. “The film gives hope to the youth and reassurance about the future.”

‘National Award coming for sure’

Kishan showered exceptional praise on Ram Charan’s performance in the film. “Ram Charan performed exceptionally. National Awards and many more recognitions are coming for this movie,” he confidently stated.

The prediction carries extra weight given that many fans and critics had previously expected Ram Charan to win a National Award for his performance in Sukumar’s ‘Rangasthalam’, but the award did not materialize. Kishan’s comments suggest that ‘Peddi’ could finally fill that gap.

‘Unpredictable till the climax’

Kishan also spoke about the film’s narrative structure, revealing that ‘Peddi’ will keep audiences guessing until the very end. “This movie will shock you for sure. You can’t predict the story. It will surprise you till the climax,” he said.

He noted that the film’s gripping action and unpredictable storyline are its main strengths. “Every scene will surprise the audience. When viewers walk out of the theatres, they will leave with emotional hearts filled with inspiration.”

The Bhopal event

The ‘Peddi Ki Awaaz’ event in Bhopal served as a major promotional milestone for the film. The highlight was AR Rahman’s musical concert, where the Oscar-winning composer performed songs from the film and shared his review, further raising audience expectations.

Janhvi Kapoor, who stars opposite Ram Charan, also added to the buzz by comparing the film to hitting a “sixer” and calling Ram Charan her favorite cricketer, in a playful reference to the film’s title.

About the film

‘Peddi’ is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, known for ‘Uppena’, and features music by AR Rahman. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.

With a star cast including Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, and music by AR Rahman, combined with the strong endorsements from Ravi Kishan, the film has generated significant anticipation. Kishan’s confident National Award prediction has only added to the excitement, putting ‘Peddi’ in the spotlight as one of the most awaited Indian film releases of the year.
